The most useful aspect of a Chinese diagnosis is the ability to separate the constitutional condition from the pregnancy, and through this differentiation to apply the appropriate treatment.

Depending on the outcome of the diagnosis I may either treat the underlying condition which will then improve the symptoms, or treat symptoms which need to be addressed directly. Treatment with acupuncture can be very effective and it is a safe treatment for the unborn child.
